A big welcome back to everyone in the school community. It is lovely to see all the children back in school. As parents are naturally concerned about sending their children to school if they have a sniffle – we have attached a useful guide for parents to this post.
We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back to school in September. Please see letter attached outlining procedures to follow in September.
Hope everyone is staying safe at home! Please see our newsletter for amazing home schooling pictures! Don’t forget to send us pictures of your VE Day celebrations!
Wishing everyone a Happy Easter, stay safe, safe well and stay at home! Please read our weekly newsletter in the Parents Area!
As from 5pm on Friday 20th March, our school closed to all children, except those children whose parents are key workers and to vulnerable children. St Mary’s is the site providing childcare for the 3 schools in the federation, including Clunbury and Newcastle.
Children who are in receipt of Pupil Premium will be having packed lunches delivered-we are liaising with The Community College at Bishops Castle, and are hoping to set this up shortly. Work set for the children has been posted out, emailed and is also uploaded on the website.
Sending everyone best wishes – stay well and safe 🙂
We are aware that we are currently facing uncertain times and that government advice could change quickly. Although we have been told that currently schools are to remain open, we have been asked by the local authority to make contingency plans in the event of school closures. Please see letter attached.
We were inspected by Ofsted on Wednesday 18th December 2019 and we were very pleased with the outcome. The report is now published and on the website. We would like to thank the children for being so amazing on the day, talking to the inspectors and behaving impeccably. We would also like to thank the parents for their lovely comments that were uploaded onto ParentView. And a huge thank you to the staff who worked so hard getting ready for the day.
Due to severe flooding on the access roads around school, we will be closed today. Sorry for any inconvenience.
The exciting school Reading Challenge has been launched today!
Please read the letter coming home tonight for more information
Don’t forget to bring in donations of clothes, shoes and bags for the clothing collection raising money for school and The Firefighters Charity.
