Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club is run by our Dining Supervisor Lel Evans on a Monday and Thursday morning. Children are offered a selection of cereals and toast, and also have the opportunity to play games and enjoy activities on the playground if the weather is fine.
After School Clubs
At St Mary’s we are proud to be able to offer an extensive range of extra-curricular and after school clubs.
We are fortunate that we have dedicated staff who are supported by enthusiastic and skilled parents, volunteering to help organise and supervise our clubs and because of their commitment we are, at the moment able to offer the following clubs
Wraparound Care
After school care runs until 5.00pm, this is very popular and children can access other clubs and then when they have finished join wraparound care until the end of the session. The cost for your child(ren) to stay and participate in clubs or wraparound care after school is £2 per child per day.
Maths Booster Club
Miss Cook runs Maths Booster Club for Years 5 and 6. She helps pupils work towards their SATs, reinforcing learning for those children who need more support and providing additional challenge for the more adept pupils.
Lego Club
Mrs Morgan runs the Lego Club – all the children have great fun creating their own models from Lego and building impressive designs. Lego Club is open to children of all ages.
Gardening Club
Gardening Club is run by volunteer Mr Davies. The children have great fun preparing the beds and planting seeds and plants in the school’s own allotment. Just look at the amazing bean wigwam the children
have grown in gardening club.
Film Club
Film Club runs once a week and is a chance for pupils of all ages to relax and watch a range of films.
