Forest School is an innovative and inspiring approach to learning and development which offers children opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences during regular sessions in the school’s Forest School area, where they are supported in their development by our qualified Forest School teachers Mrs Beddoes (Key Stage 1) and Yvonne Williams (Pre School).
Sessions are flexible and child-led. Children build up relationships with staff and with peers, exploration and play are encouraged, and teamwork and co-operation are nurtured.
Children develop respect and responsibility for themselves, other people and the environment in a truly empowering experience, which is also exciting, healthy and fun!
Key Stage 2 have achieved their John Muir award. Four challenges lie at the heart of the John Muir Award, discover a wild place, explore it, conserve it and share your experiences.
